April was an extremely exciting month for Alpha-H as we prepared for the launch of two new additions to the range: the Gentle Daily Exfoliant and Clear Skin Range. On the 7th of April the   Alpha-H team headed to the buzzing city of Sydney to host two media launch events to celebrate the release of these innovative new products. The media launch events were held at the stunning Meriton Apartments Penthouse on Pitt Street in Sydney’s CBD. The day began fabulously with a champagne breakfast for Sydney’s top beauty editors, online publications and beauty bloggers. Featuring an open plan living area with double high glass panels leading on to the balcony, our perfectly made up guests enjoyed unparalleled views of the gorgeous morning view of Sydney from 51 floors up! The lovely beauty girls were treated to a delicious spread of breakfast goodies including: spinach and ricotta quiche, mango friands and papaya and pineapple tarts topped with fresh ricotta and honey. The morning was a huge success with a great turn out from industry professionals including Alexis from Shop til You Drop, Cherie from Primped and Kimberly from The Plastic Diaries just to name drop a few!

	Alpha-H Director Michelle Doherty took centre stage to explain that research company Mintel had found skin resurfacing to be one of the most searched terms in beauty worldwide. This inspired Alpha-H’s latest creation the Gentle Daily Exfoliant with its innovative formula to ensure damaged cells are removed and fine lines are reduced whilst natural exfoliants such as papaya and pineapple leaves help skin look younger and stay clearer.  Alpha-H’s National Operations and Training Manager Bianca Georgiou introduced the Clear Skin Collection which is made up of a Daily Face Wash, Daily Hydrator Gel and Blemish Control Gel containing ingredients such as natural oregano, thyme and tea tree to treat blemish prone skin. Cotton seed extract, an imitation and more natural alternative to hyaluronic acid, is also included to counter irritation and dehydration helping to improve the skin’s ability to retain moisture. The evening event commenced at 5:30pm, just in time for the beauty editors who couldn’t attend the morning session to join us for wine and canapés on the balcony as we enjoyed the magnificent view of the sun setting over Sydney’s landmark buildings. The evening event also had a great response with the beauty editors from Grazia, OK! The Daily Gloss and Beauty Directory coming along to support the launch. As the drinks flowed in abundance and the editors nibbled on peking duck pancakes, prawn and cucumber salad, mini lamb burgers and antipasto platters, the Alpha-H girls talked shop and demonstrated the new products. Both of the events were really well received by the beauty industry with a lot of buzz appearing online in blogs and beauty forums. All of our guests were gifted with a bag full of Alpha-H goodies featuring the new products for them to try out for themselves. It was lovely to touch base with our media friends in Sydney and look forward to returning soon.

Lauren recently competed in the ABA Winter Nationals in Arizona in the US where she placed second on both days of racing. As well as her first SX World Cup in South Africa in mid-April, she is now looking forward to the next world cup in Holland.

The Ladies brunch raised over $25,000 and was hosted by Sandra Sully and Chloe Maxwell to raise funds for Chloe and Mat's charity 4 ASD Kids (Autism Spectrum Disorder).
